We want funding to take our older isolated members on coach trips throughout the year.
About this cause
Over 70 Live at Home Schemes now operate across the UK, enabling older people to maintain their independence and live more fulfilled lives. Our services aim to relieve social isolation and encourage older people to take part in the communities in which they live. Our services are delivered locally by 3 staff and 43 volunteers. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for older people. We offer lunch clubs, day trips, befriending, friendship groups, art therapy groups, exercise classes, telephone support, newsletters, advice and information on local services and activities and signposting.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would be offering support to help older people lead independent, active and fulfilled lives. We would be offering opportunities for companionship and trusted support. We have 108 members who would benefit massively from getting out and about on day trips with us helping to make them feel secure and safe. This service will help members with their confidence and social interaction.
