We want to organise a residential trip for our youngsters in preparation for the Scottish Concert Band Finals.
About this cause
We support the Auchinleck and Cumnock Concert Bands. There are 4 bands all playing at different levels of ability with kids from P5 up to S6. We support the bands by organising fundraising events and running a tuck shop at rehearsals. We aim to provide them with sheet music, instruments and music stands. We provide transport for them when they are playing at concerts and festivals, we supply them with a tie and have organised band merchandise for them. Our main objective is to provide support and cover costs as much as we can so that all children can join in without it costing them anything. We would like to organise a residential trip for the children in preparation for the Scottish Concert Band Finals.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project is bringing the Auchinleck and Cumnock communities together. We have children from the local primary and secondary schools coming together every week to rehearse and they are building friendships with each other.
