We want to have the hall's parquet flooring re-sanded and re-varnished to stop the splinters our children are currently dealing with.
About this cause
We operate a term time only pre-school 5 days per week, renting the hall from the church and packing away every day. We are ran by a committee of parents from the children attending us, currently 57 children on our records attending various hours over the week. We cater for children aged 3-5 years mainly from the local community, staff are 11 in total working various hours over the week. Our aim is to keep a community pre-school in a busy part of a very busy city, we help to guide children in their learning and assist them in being school ready, we fundraise to keep us afloat and to continue to be sustainable in this current climate. our waiting list is always extensive and we are well thought of in the community due to having 3 consecutive Ofsted ratings of Outstanding, recent was June 15
How this cause brings people in the community together
As the hall is used every evening and weekends by various groups such as Rainbows, Dancing Groups, parents for children's parties and many bazaars are held here by different users too. The church committee again use the hall themselves to fundraise to keep our church open too, which we would love to help with also by having the floor re-done for everyone to be happy.
