About this cause
The Town Hall is used by all residents of the parish of Helmsley for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Town Hall is an iconic Grade 2 listed building in the heart of Helmsley. It currently houses the Community Library and is used to facilitate recreation activities such as indoor bowling and keep fit classes. It is used for meetings and other training events as well as social and charitable events. The degradation of the building will only continue if urgent action is not taken.
