We want to hold events that develop the skills of learning disabled and autistic adults. Money will be spent on drivers and marketing.
About this cause
We are a wild bird and other animal rehabilitation centre that specilises in Gulls that is run with supported learning disabled and autistic adult volunteers. We help many injured and orphaned animals that are when ready returned to the wild. This is all done with the help of learning disabled and autistic adult supported volunteers to ensure that they have the opportunity to partake in activity that is productive and helps the wider community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The Community uses us a great deal already with over 300 animal admissions but very few understand the learning disabled and autistic adult involvement and the fantastic work they are doing. We want the supported volunteers to interact with the community, not only developing their own communication skills but increasing the understanding of the public
