We want to complete our recording studio for local residents of all ages to use.
About this cause
Our aim is to provide a local multi functional building that will bring the local Community together for all aspects of socialising activities and a safe haven for the youth of today. There is space for local bands to rehearse and local artists to exhibit their work, there is also a community café which is used on a daily basis by local residents. We have Kid's after school clubs, drama classes, dance classes, cooking classes, Christmas parties, Halloween parties, free Kid's films in the Cinema. We have a community garden at the back of the building that was set up by Tradepoint last year and we have received funding for benches, heaters etc for the local community. All members of the public are welcome at our Centre. We are currently building a recording studio for local people to use.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We think this will reduce social isolation for local residents by bringing them together to produce something they may feel is out of their reach. They will learn new skills and make new friends who they ordinarily would not meet. This studio would be accessible to residents of all ages.
