About this cause
Girlguiding Keyingham is a close-knit group of girls in rural East Yorkshire, in three units. We currently have 48 girls across the complete age range, We aim to be totally inclusive. Our units are a happy and safe place for girls of all ages and backgrounds and enable them to make friends outside their immediate home circles, and we help children with disabilities to access activities that they would not be able to take part in under normal circumstances. They learn about different cultures and we help them to gain a wider knowledge of the immediate community and also of the greater world community around them.Our units are all completely self-funding: although we come under the umbrella of Girlguiding UK, the units do not receive any financial support from them whatsoever
How this cause brings people in the community together
We teach the next generation. By helping these youngsters we are helping to shape the next generation with compassion, understanding, morals, kindness and a team/community spirit. Girls can is the girlguiding strapline and that sums us up.
