We would like to support our school’s Performing Arts department by replacing and updating equipment used in music, drama + dance lessons.
About this cause
I am a member of Friends of John Masefield High School. The organisation, dormant for the last few years, has been reactivated over the last 6 months with the aim of improving provision in the school through fundraising and also providing practical support for the school. In just six months we have organised a quiz night, a bingo evening, provided refreshments at the school production as well as opening the school car park on commmunity days to raise funds through donations and working to establish a school uniform recycling scheme. We work closely with Andrew Evans the school Head to establish funding objectives. This first year he has given us a special major school project for which he would like us to raise funds - the refitting and development of the food technology facilities.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Friends of John Masefield High School (FJMHS) is a group of people who support the school by donating time, resources and money. Activities include providing refreshments at student shows and events and raising funds to help the school improve its facilities and equipment
