We want to continue providing memory boxes to hospitals and parents where there is a demand for them.
About this cause
We supply memory boxes to parents and hospitals for parents that have suffered the loss of a baby. Each year 6600 babies die in the UK from stillbirth or neonatal death with the Birmingham area having the second worse death rate in the UK. We also offer support to parents following the loss of a child. We currently supply The Royal Worcester Hospital, Birmingham Women's and also Birmingham children's.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Baby loss is a devastating thing to happen to anyone and to have somewhere where memories can made and kept is a comfort to grieving parents. With baby loss being such a taboo subject and difficult to talk about i want to be able to explain that this is a daily occurrence where a baby grows its wings and to help in some way is what the charity wants to be able to do for the coming years.
