We would like to obtain some land and build our own scout hut.
About this cause
Bere Alston Scout Group is a group run by volunteers who provide a wide programme of activities for boys and girls aged between 6 and 14 years old. It includes a 'Beaver' section for ages 6-8, a 'Cub' section for ages 8-10 and a 'Scout' section for ages 10-14. The group helps develop children through challenge and adventure. We make the most out of the opportunities that our location in the middle of the Bere Peninsular provides. Activities include hiking, camping, rafting, cycling, wide games, bird watching, den building and generally spending as much time as possible exploring the environment around them. The group is also active in many other community projects.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will allow local children of any background who become part of the scout group to come to a central place to meet friends and have fun in a safe and secure environment.
