Money raised will be spent on producing leaflets and equipment to engage with the general public with regard to the care of hedgehogs.
About this cause
The mission of the Trust is to rescue, rehabilitate and care for sick and injured hedgehogs. The ultimate aim of our work is to reintroduce healthy restored hedgehogs back into the wild or onto protected sites. We also seek to educate the general public in methods of nursing, treatment and conservation of hedgehogs in the hope that these wonderful animals will be around for the next generation and beyond.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The success of the project will result in a more knowledgeable local community with regard to hedgehog care. The success of the project will also result in the conservation of hedgehogs within the local community of North Northumberland at a time when hedgehog numbers are dwindling at an alarming rate elsewhere in the country.
