We want to purchase picnic benches for our local park. There's currently no seating area at all and it would be a great addition.
About this cause
We are a small village in Holderness. We have a local park with up to 4 years ago had very little play equipment. We host various events throughout the year to raise funds for new equipment in the park. We have managed so far to purchase a roundabout, a basket swing and a zip wire over the last 5 years. We have a small committee (only 9 members) who are passionate about our little park and making it better for our children in the village. Once a year we host a Barn Party which is held at one of the local farms. We hire a band and hog roast and charge £15.00 per ticket for admission. This is our 4th year and we sold approx 250 tickets this year. We are hoping to put some picnic benches in our park. We would welcome any help with funding. How this cause brings people in the community together
We often have small events in the park like Easter Egg Hunt and summer sports day and everyone has to carry their own chairs from around the village. We have some elderly people in the village and they like to watch the children but they cannot manage to sit on the grass !
