We want to train four more young people to SCQF level to be able to 'spot and refer' vulnerable peers in the community.
About this cause
We primarily provide counseling, mentoring, employabilty, mental and personal development training in the community focusing on people who are experiencing a vulnerable or crisis period in their life. We additionally run a peer youth mentoring project and a woman space, delivering one to one and group workshops, at e.g. anxiety, supporting parents and SMART recovery, maximizing potential. Premises provide a drop in, training room, IT facilities and meeting rooms.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Build trust and confidence in our young people, a culture of peer support, help young people understand they do not have to suffer in silence. Understand what is and is not acceptable or risky behavior. Helping them to take to responsibility and understand consistences. Increases effective communication between young people and their parents, teachers and each other.
