We want to buy specialised equipment such as rehabilitation MotoMeds and access ramps so spinally injured people can do physio at home.
About this cause
The charity is established for the relief of those in need by reason of spinal cord injury, their families and carers, by any or all charitable means but in particular through: 1) The provision of specialised equipment (Motomeds, ramps etc) support, services and activities aimed at rehabilitation and improving the quality of life of such persons. 2) The fostering of an atmosphere of support amongst all persons affected, directly or indirectly by spinal cord injury. We liaise closely with Musgrave Spinal Cord Unit and help supply equipment and support to those leaving the unit and returning home.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will help the spinally injured people, returning home to continue their physio that they started in places like Musgrave Spinal Cord Unit, Belfast. This will help improve their lives and indirectly those of their families. Ramps to lend to those in wheelchairs is very important to allow them to access old churches etc for weddings and other family events, which they might otherwise miss.
