We want to buy new leather sofas and seats along with additional chill out furniture for two rooms.
About this cause
Netherfield Forum is a community centre in the heart of Netherfield. There are two centres, St George's a modern purpose built community centre and Loco Centre a designated Youth Centre. Both building provide a range of activities from social inclusion for all, to advice and youth activities. Training courses such as IT. Volunteering opportunities to employment. Event & Open days for the community to access and relax. A place where by the local community can promote their skills and use the centre to promote. Health and welfare are at the forefront and the Forum provide healthy meals at a low cost prices. Even providing families with free meals in the school holidays to help with the relief of poverty. A place where folk from all walks of life can come together.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will help the young people to interact and create a safe space for them to talk with friends or adults. Young people will be able to relax & listen to music, watch their friends playing pool as we have two areas for the sofas & chairs. New furniture will allow them to be more comfortable as the current one are really damaged.
