Friends of Mossbrook School
Young People
We want to refurbish the multi-sensory room at Mossbrook Special School for our children to have a place to chill out and relax.
About this cause
FOMS raises money for the benefit of the school and its children. All our children are on the autistic spectrum and the majority have learning disabilities. Our first objective is a complete refurbishment of the sensory room that is over 15 years old and very tired. we aim to start the refurbish in the summer of 2018 and have about 50% of the funds required. This is our first project and when this is competing we will start raising funds for other projects around the school that will benefit the children without using the already extremely stretched school budget.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The children will clearly benefit the most as the sensory room is designed to help them in times of stress. Any project that helps disabled children especially autistic children function safely and calmly in the outside world benefits everyone.
