Shifnal and Albrighton Live at Home Scheme
Social Inclusion
We want to develop our wellbeing day for the over 60s, providing therapists, a meal, exercise, music, company, and a confidential chat.
About this cause
We support over 60's in the community. We strive to improve the quality of life for members and their families. We aim to alleviate loneliness, improve confidence and independence and encourage inclusion in the community. We try to nurture the body mind and spirit in all aspects of our services and adhere to the MHA values. We offer a wide range of services, including: assisted shopping, transport and help at appointments, transport door to door to and from all our groups, exercise and well being sessions, friendship groups, lunch clubs, men folk, film club, shopping trips, theatre visits, monthly outings, signposting, confidential support, advice and befriending. Without this scheme many members, and even volunteers would remain in their homes alone for days without any sense of purpose.
How this cause brings people in the community together
