We would like to improve reading in the school for everyone with new books, library enhancement, reading corners and author visits.
About this cause
The FBVCP raise funds to enrich and add to the learning and development of the pupils in particular by engaging in activities such as educational visits outside of school, and within school by authors, artists, sports people, musicians. We provide facilities or equipment which support the school and enhance the pupils education such as extra reading books and library books, iPads, apps, vegetable garden, and nature garden.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will improve the reading levels of our pupils which will benefit them greatly as they move through the educational system. It will encourage them to love reading through exciting adventures either getting lost in a book, or through author visits bringing stories to life. This enthusiasm and love of reading can be passed on to siblings, and can encourage parents to read more.
