Gayle Village Institute
Community Development
We would like to replace our old, tatty heavy chairs which were donated and collected from various sources.
About this cause
Gayle Village Institute is a small village hall for the use of the people living in Gayle and the surrounding area. It provides a meeting place, recreation and other leisure-time classes, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the local people. The Village hall users include the Mother and Toddler group Stay and Play, Whist Club, Singing For The Brain, the Young Voices Choir (25 young singers aged 6 - 14 years), The First Responders, a meeting room for the Friends of Gayle Mill, the Hawes and High Abbotside Parish Council and a Birthday Party Room for the local children.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will be of benefit to all the users of all ages who use the Gayle Village Institute facility. It will make seating much more comfortable and appealing to the environment.
