About this cause

Warsash Wasps Sports and Football Club (Wasps) was formed in 1977 to provide local children with a football team that would help them develop their football ability fully. This season we have 28 teams, the majority of players in these teams are under 16 years old. The club provides a much needed sports club for the local community in and around Warsash. Football is a great way to get children involved in sport at a young age, this then helps them make physical activity a part of their routine, helps them to learn to be part of a team and brings them fun and enjoyment through sport. As the organisation operates on limited funding and subs from members, the money required for projects and improvements needs to be raised by its members and volunteers through fundraising.
