About this cause

We are a small charity run by volunteer parents. We support deaf and hearing impaired children and their families. We do this by organising regular monthly events which help build confidence, encourage friendships and support parents. Events range from coffee and chat mornings where we are able to provide information about local services and support, for events such as indoor rock climbing where children can try something new in a safe, deaf aware environment. We currently support over 80 families throughout Worcestershire.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Being hearing impaired is a very isolating disability. It will allow for the inclusion of deaf children in events and activities. It will enable companies to plan / think about how to work with disabled children. It will bring together families of deaf children who will be able to support each other. We also support the whole family so siblings of deaf children are also included in activities.
