About this cause

The objects of the Society shall be for public benefit, by establishing and maintaining intentional Camphill communities to relieve sickness, promote good health, provide care and support and advance the education and training of particularly (but not exclusively) people with a learning disability. In particular but not exclusively by: Promoting and developing the art of social therapy, healthy diet and providing meaningful work that serves a need locally or in the wider world; promoting a culture of life-long learning and personal development; preserving, conserving and protecting the natural environment through organic and sustainable land management activities; promoting a community social life that includes cultural and recreational activity.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The garden project will be open to members of the local communities surrounding us in the Esk Valley who would like to participate, either by volunteering in the project or buying and benefiting from locally, sustainably and organically produced fantastic food. It will enable people to exercise, be sociable, learn new skills and be part of something new and wonderful in their local community.
