We want to redecorate the halls and breathe some new life and colour into the place and buy some new tables.
About this cause
We run a community centre and youth project for the local people of Winklebury. We have 2 youth clubs for children aged between 7 - 10 and 11 - 17. A parent and toddler group and we will be opening a group for parents under 25 for support. We also have a regular drop in for older residents to have a coffee and a chat. We want to be able to offer more facilities but we want to redecorate the hall and install new toilets.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will show them that the hall is available for everyone to use again. We will be able to offer it to new groups who might not have been interested before because the facilities were old and tired. It will give the community centre a new lease of life and make it the perfect back drop for community events and clubs etc.
