About this cause

We are a very small group of 8 volunteers who care for stray and abandoned cats and find new homes for them. We run a neutering campaign twice a year to allow owners to have their cats neutered at a cost to them of £10 per cat - we pay the balance. To neuter a male cat is around £50-£60 and a female cat £60-£100. We also work closely with farms, crafts, recycling centres to have the feral cats in their land neutered and returned to the site. This keeps the feral colonies at a steady number. We cover the whole cost of the operations. To allow us to carry out this work, we attend Highland Gatherings, Galas etc. During the year to help us raise funds. We would be delighted to be considered for one of the awards from yourselves. It would help us carry on this important work in our area

How this cause brings people in the community together

As a whole, many folks in the local community DO benefit from our voluntary work. We provide a safe haven for stray and abandoned cats in pens run by our fostering volunteers. This is a very important part of our volunteering as well as raising money to afford to carry out this task. Provide owners with monetary help to have their cats neutered. Provide advice on how to look after their cats
