About this cause
Mulberry Community Project is an independent non-commissioned Supported Housing Project which provides abstinent based recovery housing for those in recovery from alcohol/drug misuse by providing secure housing, support and encouragement. We work with people who have a drug and/or alcohol addiction but are now abstinent and are working on their recovery. We provide safe, secure housing where people can learn to be independent and live a life free from substances. We help people move forward with 1-1 support, group support, and counselling. We support people into education and training and when they are ready to move on to lead an independent life, free from substances we support them with finding accommodation and work.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We work with people from our local community and work with these people to remain abstinent. Our residents give back to our community when they leave by being drug/alcohol free and leading functional lives in work or education.
