About this cause

Finding Your Feet (FYF) supports families affected by amputation or limb difference, through a range of sporting initiatives and social inclusion projects. The charity was set up by quadruple amputee Corinne Hutton in 2014, three months after fighting for her life and losing both hands and feet due to sepsis. Corinne experienced the isolation of life changing trauma and wanted to help other families facing the same challenges. All our work is centred on greatly improving the social inclusion, wellbeing and self-esteem of our amputee community regardless of age and background. We have big ambitions for how to improve the lives of the amputee community, but we’re only a small team, so are relying on both corporate and individual supporters and volunteers to help us achieve them.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Finding Your Feet are seeking funds to help with transportation costs for amputees in this area. With your help we can get amputees to our range of free clubs which include a drop-in social session, fitness, swimming, skiing, arts and crafts and gardening.
