About this cause

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is a West Yorkshire based charity offering support to children and families with life shortening conditions across Kirklees, Calderdale, Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield. The charity was registered in 2005, Russell House a 4 bed hospice facility in Huddersfield opened in 2012. We currently support 320 children and families from across the region. • 146 children and their families are supported by our Hospice at Home service, supplemented by day care, planned short breaks, 24/7 residential provision, and end-of-life care in our state-of-the-art hospice (Russell House, Huddersfield) and a further 174 families have access to bereavement support for as long as required.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Due to the limited mobility of our children, they are unable to use standard play equipment and experience playing in a safe, fun environment. This equipment will be all inclusive, giving our children the opportunity to play together with their siblings, creating memories of families playing together.
