About this cause

Umbrella is a local charity based in Derby which was set up by parents and professionals in 1986. Our core business is providing fun, exciting, stimulating activities for children, young people and young adults with disabilities. We provide high quality services for children and young adults aged 0 to 30 with any disability, including complex medical needs, physical, sensory, learning and behavioural disabilities and additional needs. We are able to support a child or young person no matter what their disability as our services are tailored to meet individual needs. In addition to services for children, young people and young adults we also run services to support siblings of disabled children as well as information and support services for parents of disabled children.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We support families in Southern Derbyshire which includes Derby City, Amber Valley, South Derbyshire, South Derbyshire Dales and Erewash. Our property is centrally located in Mackworth. The safe space parking will be very beneficial for our families. It will also prevent anti social behaviour on the wasteland and will relieve parking for neighboring properties.
