We want to fund weekly youth clubs, a Family Movie Evening and a roller disco.
About this cause
Thatcham Youth are a small registered charity that provides facilitates and supports provision for children and young people in Thatcham, catering for all ages up to young adults. Thatcham Youth currently organises two weekly youth clubs; Vision Youth Club for 7-11 year olds & Inters Youth Club for 11-13 year olds, at Moorside Community Centre; Thatcham Roller Disco which is held on the first Saturday of each month at Kennet Leisure Centre, Stoney Lane; a monthly free movie evening for young people and families at Moorisde; as well as a number of free events during the school holidays. On a monthly basis attendance to all our events is around 400 young people & their families.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Thatcham Youth will benefit the local community by providing a fun and safe place for young people to socialise and learn new skills whilst taking part in a variety of engaging activities. Providing affordable, quality provision for children and young people can be influential and lead young people to become responsible members of society.
