We want to be able to provide food/ingredients to allow our clients to follow a healthy eating plan especially families with children.
About this cause
We are a local food bank and have been in operation for over 4 years. We help local families in crisis and through our team of volunteers we are able to provide emergency food parcels and signpost our clients to the various agencies that can help on a more permanent basis. We provide a caring attitude, a listening ear and a hot drink and snacks. We have seen a steady increase in clients including homeless and refugee families. As a private independent charity it is our aim to be always able to help our clients coming through our door. This is becoming an ever more difficult task as donations of food are not as forthcoming as they were. Our objective would be to provide balanced meals and hopefully promote a better and more healthy diet for our clients especially the children.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We will be able to provide a decent meal on a regular basis. This will benefit people who are vulnerable and unable to provide nutritious meals for themselves and families. This will benefit greatly children in the cold winter months as well.
