Help us improve the dated facilities at our community centre, to provide an updated kitchen with a community cafe facility and a lunch club.
About this cause
Longwell Green Community Centre is held upon trust to further the health and advance education through training, recreation, social, moral and intellectual development to benefit the inhabitants of the community. The Community Centre is a not for profit organisation. The centre is not supported by grants or funding but is self-supporting via annual membership, renting facilities and fundraising events. The Community Centre was founded for the benefit of the local inhabitants of Longwell Green. Our new initiative of 'One Community', sharing resources with neighboring smaller groups and centres, enabling the community to interact socially and tackle isolation, loneliness and expand the activities and facilities we currently have in Longwell Green.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The community project will help and expand the social group and work closely with local GP surgeries, health professionals with a social referral programme, tackling social isolation, loneliness, elderly and work with local schools to partnership with youth activity programmes.
