With your help we'll support disabled learners with a visual impairment to use IT equipment.
About this cause
Our organisation empowers disabled people and carers to access education and improve their lives with learning. We aim to ensure that disabled people and carers have support to remove barriers to gaining qualifications and are able to participate in education. Our Dundee project aims to offer one to one, or small group, support to learn. Learners can choose what they want to learn and are supported by our dedicated volunteers. Some comments from learners in groups: "I feel more confident and I think i might actually be able to do this!"
How this cause brings people in the community together
People who are active online are more involved in their community, from volunteering to supporting local events. Those of our learners who have been tracked after 3 months are still confident with the skills they have learned with Lead Scotland and are still involved in their communities.
