About this cause
Luton Community First Responders is a Caddington based volunteer group of currently 2 people who serve the people of Luton and the surrounding villages including Caddington, Slip End and Markyate. We attend serious emergency calls for the ambulance service where a quick response time is necessary. These include Cardiac Arrest’s, Strokes, Breathing Issues and Choking. Community first responders are volunteers who are trained by the East of England Ambulance Service to attend certain types of emergency calls in the area where they live or work. Our aim is to reach a potential life threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives. We use our own private vehicles and spare time to respond to calls. We aim to raise funds to purchase new medical equipment.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Your donation will be ringfenced to the Luton group and any donation that you are able to give will make a great difference in keeping our community safe and to ensure that people are given the best care possible!
