About this cause

Westminster Children's University was set up to raise the aspirations of children across Westminster through partnerships and projects with local businesses and inspirational people. It was designed to place an emphasis on children achieving what they want to achieve through exposure to different places of work, jobs and opportunities. Children currently across 6 schools, although expanding, access mini lectures through the University of Westminster, workshops and extra curricular clubs which are provided voluntarily through local businesses. Each child who access 30 hours of extra curricular activities per year are rewarded with a university graduation for the commitment they have shown. We aim to provide further activities to raise the aspirations of our children.

How this cause brings people in the community together

By raising aspirations of the children in Westminster, we aim to lesson the local crime statistics, increase volunteering and contributions to the local community. We aim to build upon the skills our local children already have and provide them with new skills needed to succeed in jobs for the future.
