Funds will allow us to send our bereaved families to our Rainbow Home based in Camber Sands.
About this cause
Provides support to children who have been bereaved of a parent or sibling. This is done in many ways:- Memory boxes given to the children containing books and information Monthly Rainbow Group - where children can meet other children who are in a similar situation, we do activities focusing on self esteem and self confidence. Holidays to our Rainbow Home - All our registered families are able to go to our Rainbow Home each year, free of charge. We also give them money towards fuel and food. Trips - In the summer holidays we arrange for a big trip out - so far we have taken the families to LEGOLAND, Whipsnade and this year were are going to Drayton Manor Park. On top of this we also do adhoc trips to the cinema, bowling, 360 and many more places.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It gives the families we support a holiday away that some may not even be able to afford. The families are able to relax and have time together.f
