About this cause

First Easingwold Scout Group provides scouting activities for boys and girls aged 6-18yrs. Scouting is a nationwide activity teaching young people life skills through outdoor activities, hosting and participating in community events, achieving badges in a variety of skills and hopefully taking these valuable skills into adult life and becoming new leaders of future generations of scouts. All leaders are volunteers and give freely their time and effort to support children and young people. Many leaders have demanding full time jobs. Scouts are committed to serving and supporting their local community wherever possible and assist in a variety of projects and charity work by fundraising and, for the older age groups, undertaking project work themselves.

How this cause brings people in the community together

This project will provide a much needed regeneration of an exceptional resource and historic facility (ex WW2) for scouting but also for the other community groups who hire it thus further benefitting local scouts. It is a valuable resource for hosting study groups, schools, camps, especially for those wishing to learn outdoor skills, wildlife studies, sporting activities such as archery.
