We would like to buy new camping and outdoor equipment to enable us to provide more outdoor experience to the brownies.
About this cause
1st Blairgowrie Brownies has on average 30 girls aged between 7 and 10 years of age. We are an inclusive organisation which any girl can join irrespective of background or financial constraints. We undertake lots of learning and craft activities and are active in the community. We encourage to girls to develop themselves mentally and physically and to understand the importance of working towards a community. We undertake several outdoor and sleepover activities a year which we subsides through fundraising; these test the girls character and encourage team building and a sense of self worth. We would like to increase out fundraising in order to buy new outdoor equipment and to enable us to offer more outdoor experiences to the girls.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By supporting Brownies we are enabling lots of girls in the community now and for the future to enjoy the outdoors. Blairgowrie Brownie groups are large and share resources and equipment so we maximise the usage and number of girls that benefit. By owning all of our own equipment we can make holidays very affordable for all the girls.
