About this cause
Living in a rural area can be isolating. At Fetternear Hall we aim to have something for everyone, especially popular is the T&C Friendship Group which is a vital social gathering for the more elderly among us. We also have Keep Fit, Gardening Group, Bowling, SWI as well as regular Markets, Concerts, Quiz Nights, Book Sales to name a few. The Hall is a very important meeting place for the rural areas of Fetternear, Blairdaff and Burnhervie therefore we feel as a committee, we have to keep it in good condition. It is such a well loved Hall and an important place for the locals to socialise, one local resident said the only time she sees her neighbours is 'a wave from a passing car'.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will help the whole community immensely. By having a warm cosy energy efficient meeting place, numbers of visitors would increase, especially in the winter months. A more efficient kitchen would also make life much easier for the visitors, and will also attract more outside lets.
