We want to provide free and confidential counselling to 60-75 young people aged 11-21 who live, learn or work in Milton Keynes.
About this cause
We provide free and confidential counselling to young people aged 11-21 who live, learn or work in Milton Keynes. All of our counsellors are trained or in training and our service is accredited through the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). We are mostly staffed and run by volunteers, each session can cost us between £10-£30 depending on room hire, travel expenses, etc.
How this cause brings people in the community together
96% of clients seen in the last year said we helped improve their mental health (83% felt we had helped them 'very much' or 'very, very much'). 95% felt our service had helped them 'move on', (80% chose 'very much' or 'very, very much'). Helping young people improve their mental health is shown to improve most areas of their life and enable them to make a positive contribution to society.
