About this cause

Boys & Girls Clubs of South Yorkshire was founded almost 75 years ago, in 1942, and has continuously promoted the development of young people in South Yorkshire by establishing and developing Youth Clubs run by qualified and experienced youth workers. Our aim today, in 2017, remains unchanged “to support all young people in South Yorkshire to recognise and overcome the many challenges they face in order to achieve their potential". Boys & Girls Clubs of South Yorkshire acts as a central hub to support [31] associated youth clubs in the South Yorkshire area. At any one time around [4000] young people in South Yorkshire use and benefit from the work of Boys & Girls Clubs of South Yorkshire.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The Programme is aimed at young people aged between 11/18 years old . We know that the project will benefit the wider community though the outcomes it provides. The programme strives to address such issues like cohesion, Gang crime and reduce ASB all these positive changes will have a positive impact on their communities.
