We want to recruit and train volunteers to change the lives of local families who are going through a difficult time.
About this cause
Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead has been running for 20 years and offers support and friendship to local families with at least one child under 5 who are facing difficulties. Our aim is to give children the best possible start in life. Our trained volunteers have parenting experience, provide home-visiting support to over 100 families who face difficulties such as isolation, postnatal depression, illness or disability of a parent or child, relationship breakdown, multiple birth or other situations in which they find parenting a struggle and need support. Volunteers offer practical help, emotional support and introduction to other local resources according to needs of the family. Volunteers provide a confidential non-judgmental service, helping to bring fun back into family life.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By providing early intervention it will improve the lives of families and children within the local community.
