We would like to keep DEAFvibe activities running for another 12 months at Bradwell Lodge Community Centre where we hire our own room.
About this cause
It is DEAFvibe’s belief that all Deaf (BSL), Deaf with Speech, Hard of Hearing, Deafened and Deafblind people should be treated equally and with respect; that access to information & communication is provided without barriers or prejudice; and to promote equal participation and opportunities in life. Communication whether it be written, verbal or through visual information is a vital need to have a sense of belonging and inclusion in society. DEAFvibe’s Ethos is to support individuals who experience a hearing loss or dual sensory loss whether from birth, gradual or sudden. We also offer support, advice and guidance to their families, friends and carers in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. How this cause brings people in the community together
DEAFvibe is important to deaf, hard of hearing, deafened and deafblind people who face barriers with communication in their daily lives. We support with their confidence and self-esteem encouraging them to become volunteers and become a part of a team. Many individuals who attend see themselves as part of a family where we all encourage, support and guide each other & promote inclusion for all.
