We want to purchase compasses, maps, and camping equipment to be used for our Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
About this cause
We are the Senior Section of the guides for West Fife and encourage the girls to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, we have over 50 girls taking part in the awards from bronze to gold. Our objective is the promoting the instruction of girls of all classes in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The girls all have to do volunteering in their communities as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, the expedition builds confidence and team work and makes them good citizens. EG one of our Gold girls is doing volunteering work in her village gardening group every week for a year other girls do different volunteering in their communities
