Help us provide facilities where we can wash and groom the dogs that end up at our kennels, as we are unable to do this at present.
About this cause
Our main activity is to take in stray and unwanted dogs from the local surrounding area and care for them until permanent homes can be found. The charity holds a non destruct policy for all dogs that are fit and healthy and that can be safely rehomed. The dogs will remain with the rescue indefinitely whilst every effort is made to find them forever homes.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Forest Dog Rescue take in stray and also unwanted dogs from the local community that could end up on the streets. These dogs would have nowhere else to go if we did not care and look after them. Our charity also allows work experience from the local schools and colleges and people volunteer their services not only at the kennels but also our shops which helps raise money for everyday costs.
