We would like to complete the upgrade our scout hut after 50 years of wear and tear, including a new roof.
About this cause
We are part of the UK's biggest mixed youth organisation offering 6 to 14 year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities. Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We will be able to store our equipment in a secure and clean environment. Most of our equipment has been replaced due to damage caused by a leaking roof. The water damage also made the shelving collapsed. These funds would mean that the equipment can be stored correctly and can be used time and time again by the young people when camping and to enjoy the scouting experience.
