Help us deliver an education programme to dispel the myths and improve the perceptions of a range of hidden neurological disabilities.
About this cause
Our mission is to improve the lives of people living with or caring for someone with a neurological condition. We deliver advocacy, education and peer support to ensure that people with neurological lived experience have the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage with and shape their care and support. We publish an accredited Neuro Information Passport to enable people to define their neurological needs and for professionals to work in partnership to co-produce their care. We deliver a Neuro-Exchange Information hub to demonstrate the impact of collaborative work to achieve good quality person-centred outcomes. We sustain a network of neuro-informed peers to strengthen commitment to an asset-based approach to focus on understanding day-to-day life with a neurological condition.
How this cause brings people in the community together
People with lived experience will directly influence future health professionals in service design and characterise their own care support needs to divert from current care-done-to routines. The project will be a model of impact to enable the neurological community to build confidence and motivate a more collaborative support system to help them make informed decisions and live independently.
