We want to extend the studio to allow wheelchair access and put our radio station into nursing homes.
About this cause
Tarka Radio is based at North Devon District Hospital, providing 24hr radio station for patients and visitors. It is run by a group of volunteers, any funding supports the day to day running, insurances and equipment.
How this cause brings people in the community together
This change will benefit the hospital & community greatly, when days are long & drawn out stuck in a hospital bed, sometimes with no visitors, hospital radio can be a real support to those who seek comfort & entertainment. Allowing more access into the studio will mean patients & visitors can pop in, make a request & even say a special hello.
