We want to improve the infant playground, including balance bikes and a poly-tunnel, to better meet the needs of all children who use it.
About this cause
We raise money to help improve facilities for the children at New Mills Primary School. We fund school trips, special cultural events and the purchase of playground equipment and sports equipment for the children. We also fund music lessons for our year 4 children. Our organisation helps to ensure that every child in the school to access to the same opportunities regardless of financial background. Our fundraising targets are: - Improved playground equipment for our infant playground - A set of 6 Balance Bikes to help our children learn balance and coordination - these would be shared with our neighboring cluster schools - A poly tunnel and new raised beds for our Edible garden - this would be shared with our neighboring Cluster schools
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will benefit the whole community by ensuring that children grow up with a better understanding of how to share spaces and equipment. This will translate into all aspects of their life as they get older. The balance bikes will benefit all of the cluster schools in New Mills as we will be able to lend them out to the other schools. The bikes will ensure children learn to ride earlier.
