We would like to purchase camp equipment to take all our guides on camping trips and complete the art award.
About this cause
We have a guide group within the most deprived area of Blackburn and the the UK. We currently have 13 guides which is increasing to 21 in September 2017. Our objective is to be able to provide new experiences that our guides wouldn't normally be able to accomplish whilst learning life skills including planning, looking to the future, finances,Heath, sewing, we also take them on camping trips. This is where the guides can be themselves have a mini holidays as they don't have the means to otherwise. We do water activities and create a fun atmosphere where memories are created. We also look after their persona needs at times we have to purchase correct equipment/kits likes trainers if they don't have the suitable attired. Next year we will be completing the arts award too!
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our guides live within a very deprived area and we want to instill pride and the confidence that they do have a future they don't need to remain on benefits. Having the confidence that they do have opinion that is heard and this should then benefit the community as they will be strong independent women who achieve what they set out to do.
