We would like to take the scout group to Rock and River active centre. Funds will pay for the camp and instructors.
About this cause
27th Wigan Scout Group has been running since the late 1970's, with leaders who have been with them for over 20 years. We have three sections within the group which are the Beavers (which currently have 20 children within the team) cubs (which have around 25 children) and scouts (which have 50 children. We aim to teach all children from all sections life and social skills incorporating first aid training, cooking and developing their independence. We like to take the group on outings to help with studies and encourage participation in all activities while building strong relationships with others and most importantly having fun.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Taking the children to this weekend camp will mean they will all develop their social and life skills as well as building new friendships along the way. Having these skills so early on in life can help them in years to come. The 27th Wigan Scout group aims to keep all local children involved, busy and a part of the local community.
